The Sunshine Province of Canada has seen some excellent growth in the renewable energy sector after the introduction of the Solar Rebate Program back in 2016.
As the province continues to increase its renewable energy production and deliver on its Climate Leadership Plan, we at ProFusion Solar want to contribute by accelerating the process that this mandate is achieved.
Why Does Alberta Need More Renewables?
The province of Alberta generates about 82 TeraWatt hours of electricity per year (around 13% of Canada's) , with only 3% of that coming from renewable means such as Wind or Geothermal.
As analysts predict the price of electricity over the coming years to inflate at a higher rate due to the large deposits of fossil fuels & natural gas harvesting becoming trickier, it is a prudent direction for the Province to promote a growth in the renewable energy sector and bring awareness to reality of needing alternative energy sources.
This has resulted into many positive results for Alberta as property owners across the province took to making this growth a reality and helping to benefit the economy collectively.
